The gross minimum base salary applicable at national level for 2020

The Government Decision no. 935/2019 for the approval of the gross minimum base salary applicable at national level was published in the Official Gazette no. 1010 of 16 December 2019.

Starting with 1st of January 2020, the gross minimum base salary applicable at national level is of RON 2,230 per month, compared to RON 2,080 per month which was applicable in 2019. For the employees hired on positions which require higher education, the gross minimum base salary applicable at national level remains unchanged, respectively RON 2,350 per month.

According to the legislative changes which entered into force in June 2019, for the period between the 1st of January 2020 and 31 December 2028, the gross minimum base salary applicable at national level in the construction industry is of RON 3,000 per month.
